JRIG releases special policy brief volume on women and children 

ANNOUNCEMENT

The De La Salle University - Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance (DLSU-JRIG), in partnership with the Iloilo State University Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST), released a special volume of policy briefs focusing policy recommendations on women’s and children’s rights last November 2025. 

As part of their Localization of Women’s and Children’s Policies (LWCP) Project, this special policy brief volume covers eight (8) key themes surrounding policies on women's and children's welfare and rights: Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC), Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), The Magna Carta for Women and Out of School Youth, Mental Health, Reproductive Health and Teenage Pregnancy, conversion of state universities and colleges, and rural tourism.

The Institute is also working on 25 ongoing academic papers that critically examines the eight key themes of the LWCP Project. These working papers are set to be submitted and published across different journal publications.
